Our Public Sector Claim

Aboriginal Workforce Participation:

  • Commitment to increasing the representation of Aboriginal people working in all health professions/services.
  • Establish a 4% target for the representation of Aboriginal employees across the Victorian public health sector.
  • Develop partnerships between the health and education sector to deliver pathway training programs and up skill existing Aboriginal staff to further enhance career pathways. 
  • Develop a pool of work ready Aboriginal jobseekers with aspiration to work in the health sector.
  • Develop reporting of aboriginal workforce participation across the health sector

The Health Workers Union has been working closely with RAW Recruitment to improve Aboriginal Workforce participation in the public health sector.
