PUBLIC SECTOR PAY RISE JULY 2022 DENTAL

PUBLIC SECTOR UPDATE: JULY 2022 PAYRISE

YOUR SECOND PAY RISE IN JULY 2022

All HWU public sector members should have now received their second pay rise in accordance with their Public Sector Agreement. The Public Sector Agreement has four incremental pay rises scheduled as follows:

  • 1 July 2021;
  • 1 July 2022;
  • 1 July 2023; and
  • 1 July 2024.

These incremental pay rises (above) are to be paid on the first full pay period after these dates.

The HWU is aware of some health provider delays in making the second scheduled (1 July 2022) payments due to under-staffing in their payroll departments. The HWU has been given assurances by these health providers that payments will be made as soon as possible.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR MOST RECENT PAYSLIP CAREFULLY

The first full pay period (after 1 July 2022) for all public health providers has now passed. Please check your most recent payslip carefully to ensure you have been paid this incremental rise.

If you have not been paid this incremental pay rise, please contact your payroll department in the first instance to query why you have not been paid. Please remember to be respectful to payroll workers when making a query about your pay. Many are HWU members, just like you!

Your correct rate of pay for your classification as at 1 July 2022 (blue column) is as follows (see table below):

If you believe you are incorrectly classified and your rate of pay does not reflect your pay grade, please contact your employer in the first instance. If the matter cannot be resolved through discussion with your employer, contact the HWU on (03) 9341 3300 and we will pursue the matter on your behalf.
