Message from the Secretary 

The Health Workers Union is one of Victoria’s largest health sector unions, covering many of the classifications of employees working in Victoria’s health sector – including aged care, disability, public and private health, community health, aboriginal health and pathology.  

If you work in any of the above health sectors (full-time, part-time or casual) then the Health Workers Union is the best union for you. In fact, the Health Workers Union has negotiated hundreds of health sector enterprise agreements in the last few years that have resulted in better pay and conditions for those workers!

The Health Workers Union has been fighting hard to ensure that your jobs are protected and to improve your pay and work conditions. We are passionate about the work that we do and take our work very seriously- to advance the interests of health workers across Victoria.

My multidisciplinary team of experienced Organisers, Case Officers, Industrial Officers, Research Officer, Call centre staff and others have been working tirelessly to provide quality representation and advocacy to all our members. If you’re not already a member of the HWU, then I ask you to seriously consider joining the Health Workers Union today.
