Doutta Galla Update

Thank you to all those members and employees who signed the petition to force Doutta Galla to the bargaining table. Without your signature they would not have agreed to bargain! Union members, you have won the first battle by standing together!

However, this is just the beginning. We know this is going to be difficult. But we’re ready for the battle. We’re ready to fight for your rights and to improve your terms and conditions.

The Doutta Galla Aged Services Ltd, ANMF and HSU Enterprise Agreement 2014 expired in March 2018. Bargaining will commence in August to replace the Agreement and improve your terms and conditions of employment.

We can only represent our Health Workers members in bargaining. The union is only as strong as our members. Join the HWU so we will strongly represent your interests in this campaign.

Log of claims

In order to prepare your log of claims we need you to tell us what matters to you and what do you want us to bargain for? We also want to know what challenges you are facing in your workplace?

Tell us

  • What pay rise are you seeking?
  • Are you able to access your annual leave?
    • Do you have excess annual leave?
    • Do you feel the workplace is adequately staffed in order to take your annual leave?
  • As a part-time employee do you routinely work in excess of your rostered ordinary hours? Do you believe you should be paid overtime or given the opportunity to increase your contracted hours?
  • Are you asked to complete training in your own time? Are you compensated for this time?
  • Would you like to access personal leave to attend scheduled medical appointments?
  • Is it clear how to ask for a reclassification assessment? Is this important to you?
  • Are you able to take your meal breaks?

Please email to provide us with your feedback.
