Clinical Labs Update

Clinical Labs Update

The Health Workers Union has now commenced bargaining with Clinical Labs for a new Enterprise Agreement that will determine your future Pay and Conditions.

The Enterprise Agreement will cover HWU members who work as:

  • Pathology Collectors
  • Clerks
  • Audio Typists
  • Admin Assistants
  • Cleaners
  • Courier Drivers
  • Call Centre
  • Data entry
  • Administration Maintenance
  • Lab Assistants
  • Accounts
  • Specimen Reception
  • Area Supervisors
  • Storepersons

The HWU is currently finalising its log of claims for the Clinical Labs Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2018. Your feedback is required! Please send your input to hwupathology@hwu.org.au.  Former St. John of God pathology employees are at risk of losing their entitlements hard-won by the HWU over many years.

We can learn a lot from the proud Dorevitch Pathology HWU members!  During the course of the HWU Dorevitch Pathology EBA Campaign, over 600 Pathology workers joined the HWU and became members and as a result they are very likely to win better Pay and other Workplace Conditions when the Fair Work Commission makes its final decision.

That’s why it is important for existing Clinical Labs HWU members to become more active in the recruitment of new HWU Clinical Labs members.

Don’t be the lowest paid Pathology Sector Workers! Together we are stronger. Ask your work colleagues to join the HWU today!

Please note: We are always seeking workplace leaders. If you are interested in becoming an elected Health and Safety Representative or assisting the HWU in negotiations, please email hwupathology@hwu.org.au or call your HWU specialist pathology organiser, Ray Collins on 0476838386.
