My name is Janette and there’s something really important I need your help with.

I’ve just had a letter from the Government that says that Malcolm Turnbull will be cutting my pension. My husband and I will be losing $6,120 a year, or $117.70 a week.

We’ve worked hard all our lives, and we’ve carefully planned for our retirement. I’m seventy eight and David is sixty eight. So how can they suddenly make changes – and just before Christmas?

These cuts will make life very difficult for 330,000 pensioners. For us, we won’t be able to afford the retirement home we are after, and we won’t have any disposable income.

The Government shouldn’t be allowed to do this. It’s un-Australian.

I’m going to call talk back radio and Malcolm Turnbull to tell him to get his hands off our pension.
